How this preset reads — the engineering view.
Pixel pitch is the number that decides everything else downstream. At 1.56 mm, the LG MAGNIT LSAA (P1.5) sets both the cabinet grid the calculator returns (7 x 7 cabinets for this wall) and the optimal viewing band for video content of roughly 1.6-3.1 m (pitch x 1.0 to pitch x 2.0). Inside that band the pixel structure disappears into a continuous image; closer than 1.6 m, individual pixels start to resolve to the eye.
At 1200 nits, this cabinet is built for a controlled indoor environment — a boardroom, lobby, or briefing space without direct sun or bright window glare, not an open-shade or daylight-facing location. Front-service access and wall-mount fixing keep the installation profile shallow, which suits a flush feature wall where rear access for maintenance isn't available. The native canvas this wall produces — 2688 x 1512, around 4.1 megapixels — comfortably carries 1080p and near-4K source content without heavy upscaling.

What the calculator does not decide: the structural and rigging load the wall imposes on the supporting wall or frame, the power and data cabling run back to the controller position, the video processor or scaler that feeds the cabinet's native resolution, how source content gets mapped onto a non-standard aspect canvas, and any ambient-light calibration the room may need even though this is an indoor, controlled-light product.
What this preset deliberately does not solve
- Structural and rigging capacity for the wall-mounted cabinet load is not assessed by the calculator.
- Power distribution, data cabling and processor/scaler selection are separate design steps, not calculator outputs.
- The 1.6-3.1 m band is a viewing-comfort guide for video content, not a fixed rule for still graphics or logos, which can tolerate closer viewing.
How this preset differs from its siblings
Within the fine-pitch indoor category, cabinets vary chiefly on pitch and brightness, and both move the viewing-distance and grid math this page states. A coarser pitch in the same category pushes the optimal viewing band further out and changes the cabinet count for an identical wall size; a lower-brightness cabinet suits a dimmer room but not one with any ambient light spill.
