Privacy policy.

1 · Who we are

This privacy policy applies to TechnoGuru (TechnoGuru), a systems-integration practice incorporated and headquartered in Guwahati, Assam, India. The practice holds GST registrations in Dimapur (Nagaland) and Agartala (Tripura) to enable inter-state work; all operations, engineering, project management and data control run from the Guwahati office. This document describes how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal data we receive through this website (technoguru.in), project engagements, AMC engagements and Studio interest conversations.

2 · Personal data we collect

We collect personal data in three categories:

• Enquiry & contact data. Name, email address, phone number, organisation, and the body of any enquiry you send us via our contact forms, email or WhatsApp business number. This is the data you actively provide.
• Site analytics data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp), cookie identifiers, and aggregate behavioural data via Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. This data is anonymised at collection where the analytics platform allows.
• Project & AMC data. For active client engagements, we hold project briefs, drawings, configuration files, commissioning reports and AMC records. Personal data within those records (e.g. site contact persons, system user IDs) is held under contractual confidentiality.

3 · How we use your data

Enquiry data is used solely to respond to your enquiry, to follow up on commercial discussions you have initiated with us, and to maintain a relationship history that protects you and us in any subsequent dispute. We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to third-party marketers.

Site analytics data is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve content, navigation and performance. We do not use behavioural advertising, retargeting cookies, or third-party tracking pixels beyond the Google Analytics standard implementation.

Project and AMC data is used solely to deliver the engagement we are contracted to deliver. It is held under the confidentiality terms in our project contract or your supplier-onboarding agreement.

4 · Where data is held

Personal data is held on encrypted infrastructure. Enquiry and analytics data is held primarily in India, with backups in jurisdictions that maintain comparable data-protection standards. Project and AMC data is held on access-controlled, version-managed infrastructure at our Guwahati office, with offline encrypted backups.

For projects in the European Union, the United Kingdom and the GCC, we operate under data-processing agreements aligned to the relevant local regulation (GDPR, UK GDPR, UAE Federal Data Protection Law). We are happy to provide a data-processing addendum to our standard contract on request.

5 · Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable equivalent regulations, you have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (subject to our regulatory and contractual record-keeping obligations).
• Withdraw consent for ongoing processing (where consent is the basis of processing).
• Lodge a complaint with the relevant data-protection authority if you believe your data has been mishandled.

6 · Cookies & tracking

This site uses a small number of cookies for: session continuity, language preference, and aggregate analytics (Google Analytics 4 with anonymised IP). We do not use behavioural-advertising cookies and we do not sell behavioural data. You can disable cookies in your browser without significant loss of functionality.

7 · Data retention

Enquiry data is retained for two years following the last interaction unless you have become a client (in which case it is held for the duration of the engagement plus seven years for tax-and-statutory compliance) or you ask us to delete it sooner. Site analytics data is retained for fourteen months at default Google Analytics settings.

8 · Updates to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change, when applicable regulation evolves, or when our infrastructure is materially restructured. The version number and date at the top of the document indicate the current version. Substantive updates are notified via the website footer and, for active clients, via email.
