How this preset reads — the engineering view.
The DLA-NZ9 uses a zoom lens with a throw ratio of 1.35-2.73:1, which is what produces the 3.59-7.26 m range at 120 inches. A fixed-ratio projector would give a single number; this lens gives a placement window, so the room layout can flex around furniture, doorways or a rear-wall equipment position instead of dictating them.
At 3000 lumens, the NZ9 is specified for a light-controlled or dedicated home cinema room rather than a daylight-bright living space; pushing it against strong ambient light will cost contrast before it costs brightness headroom. The native 4096x2160 imaging chip means the panel resolution itself is true 4K DCI, not a pixel-shifted approximation, and the laser light source removes lamp-replacement cycles from the long-term maintenance conversation.
