What we were asked to deliver.
An executive conference room at the Chief Minister's Residential Complex in Kohima, engineered for cabinet-level meetings and presentations — a distributed JBL speaker system, a boundary-microphone conference table with automatic echo-cancelling mixing, and a Samsung fine-bezel 2×2 video wall, delivered as one coordinated conference-AV scope.
The room is engineered as one conferencing instrument rather than a bag of parts. The JBL wall-mount and column loudspeakers run on separate Crown amplifier zones through a loudspeaker-management processor, so coverage is balanced to the long executive table instead of pointed from one end. A full table of AKG boundary microphones feeds an automatic mixer with acoustic echo cancellation and channel expansion — gain and gating profiled against the seated microphone count so the room stays clear and feedback-free with many open mics. Laptop and room sources route through presentation switchers and a 4×4 HDMI matrix over CAT6 onto a Samsung 1.8 mm fine-bezel 2×2 video wall, selectable from a tablet so protocol staff drive it without an AV engineer. A UPS with an hour of backup holds the whole chain through a utility event — delivered as one coordinated conference-AV scope inside the Chief Minister's Residential Complex.

Network backbone
- ↳Delivering even, intelligible coverage across a long executive table without the wall and column loudspeakers fighting each other — separate amplifier zones and a loudspeaker-management processor let the wall-mount and column systems be balanced independently for the room's geometry.
- ↳Holding speech clarity with a full table of open boundary microphones — the automatic mixer's acoustic echo cancellation and gating were profiled against the seated microphone count so the room stays intelligible and feedback-free through a full session.
- ↳Driving a fine-bezel 2×2 video wall and multiple presentation sources to one executive display surface — a 4×4 HDMI matrix with HDMI-over-CAT6 extension routes laptop and room sources without re-cabling per meeting.
- ↳Keeping the room operable through utility interruptions — a UPS with an hour of backup holds the conferencing chain so a power event does not end a meeting.
- ·A boardroom operable by protocol staff — source selection from a tablet, no AV engineer required for a routine meeting.
- ·Speech intelligibility across the full executive table, with echo-cancelled mixing for clear in-room and connected audio.
- ·An hour of UPS backup on the conferencing chain — meetings ride through utility interruptions.
- AES-15id — sound-system design for speech intelligibility
- Structured AV cabling and connectorisation practice
- Manufacturer commissioning guidance for the installed AV equipment
